Chase Young added another award to his trophy case on Wednesday.
The Ohio State defensive end was named Wednesday as the winner of this year's Ted Hendricks Award, which honors college football's best defensive end.
Young received more than 90 percent of the votes for the award, the largest percentage of votes that any defensive end has ever received for the award since it was first awarded in 2002.
“Chase's on-field talents as a pass rusher, his explosive first step and potential to disrupt plays were demonstrated throughout the season,” Hendricks, the award's namesake and a Pro Football Hall of Famer, said in a news release.
