Ohio State's Adolphus Washington cited for solicitation

Ohio State football player Adolphus Washington was cited for solicitation on Wednesday night, police and school officials have confirmed.

The defensive tackle was caught Wednesday night at the Crosswoods Shopping Center, north of Worthington, by the Columbus Police Vice Squad Unit, said Sgt. Rich Weiner, police spokesman. He will be served with a misdemeanor summons, and is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on Dec. 17.

Disciplinary action will be handled internally, Jerry Emig, OSU athletic department spokesman, said in a written statement.

Washington is the Buckeyes’ seventh-leading tackler and has four quarterback sacks.
