Ohio State Women’s Tennis Defeats Michigan to Win Big Ten Tournament Championship

Ohio State women’s tennis won a Big Ten title on Saturday night in the best way possible: Beating Michigan in the championship match.

In a tight contest that came down to the final singles match, Ohio State freshman Nao Nishino defeated Michigan freshman Emily Sartz-Lunde in three sets to earn a 4-3 victory over the second-seeded Buckeyes over the top-seeded Wolverines in the Big Ten Tournament final.

Sydni Ratliff, Teah Chavez and Luciana Perry also won their singles matches to lead the Buckeyes to victory after Michigan opened the match by winning the doubles point.
