Sophomore guard Kelsey Mitchell of Ohio State was named to the first team of the Associated Press All-America women's basketball team today.
Mitchell scored 889 points this season, breaking her own OSU record of 873 from last season. She averaged 26.3 points per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field (30.8 percent from three-point range) and 84.6 percent from the foul line.
She topped 40 points four times this season, including a career-high 48 on Feb. 27 at Michigan State and 45 in an NCAA tournament win over West Virginia on March 20.
