Pam Davis had high expectations for Ameryst Alston and all of them have come true.
So far. There are probably more to come.
The Canton McKinley girls basketball coach was confident Alston would live up to all expectations when she sent her former star player off to play at Ohio State four years ago. After all, Alston was a two-time Miss Basketball and became the all-time leading scorer in Stark County during her four seasons at McKinley while winning the 2010 Division I state title.
But talent and skill were not the only things that set Alston apart.
