Nearly every time that LIU Brooklyn tried to push the ball up the court Saturday at Value City Arena, an Ohio State player was there to contest the pass.
A week that started off with the seventh-ranked Buckeyes not looking confident on defense ended with them forcing 28 turnovers and dismantling LIU Brooklyn 113-54.
Ohio State (3-1) had problems on defense in its first three games. Even in blowout wins, the team had given up more points than was likely ideal for coach Kevin McGuff. That changed Saturday as the Buckeyes gave up just eight points in the opening quarter and led 69-20 at halftime.
