Ohio State kept its mind on business and let go of recent history during a Big Ten road game against Iowa on Thursday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The seventh-ranked Buckeyes (20-4, 12-1) followed up a huge home win over Maryland on Monday by dispassionately dismantling the Hawkeyes 98-81 with a withering offensive show.
The victory kept Ohio State in first place in the Big Ten, a game ahead of the defending-champion Terrapins, and ended a five-game losing streak in Iowa City that dated to Jan. 6, 2008.
“It’s a tough place to play,” Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff said.
