Ohio State crushed Illinois 117-74 on Sunday in Value City Arena in the final regular-season home game for seniors Ameryst Alston, Cait Craft and Kalpana Beach.
Alston led the assault by tying her career high with 39 points. Sophomore Kelsey Mitchell sat out the fourth quarter but still poured 35 points into the 11th straight Big Ten win for the fifth-ranked and conference-leading Buckeyes (23-4, 15-1).
Ohio State hit 14 of its 17 shots in the first quarter to break to a 37-24 lead and led by 45 points with 2:27 remaining in the third quarter.
Shayla Cooper added 15 points for the Buckeyes.
