Ohio State will sell beer and wine in limited areas of Ohio Stadium this year, athletic director Gene Smith said Friday.
Fans in the stadium’s 81 suites and 2,700 club seats will have the opportunity to purchase beer and wine. Those areas include 4,370 seats, or about 4 percent of the stadium’s capacity.
Alcohol has been available in similar areas of the Schottenstein Center since its opening in 1998.
Smith said the university would monitor and assess the program throughout the 2015 football season.
Ohio State has seven home football games this season, beginning Sept.
