It has been a tough week for the Ohio State Buckeyes as they work to come back from a close loss on the road to Penn State. But the Buckeyes are finally heading home to Columbus to take on perhaps one of the most confusing teams in the conference--Northwestern--whose wins over Iowa and Michigan State are balanced with a head-scratching, 9-7 loss to FCS foe Illinois State.
But Urban Meyer is nothing if not resilient. The Buckeyes have had just one back-to-back loss under Meyer’s tenure (to Clemson in the Orange Bowl in 2014, following Ohio State’s loss to Michigan State in the Big Ten Championship), and otherwise have most-effectively throttled their next opponent, including a 66-0 wallop of Kent State following the Buckeyes’ loss to Virginia Tech in 2014, and a 42-13 beatdown of Michigan in 2015 after losing to Michigan State.
