A testament to the job Mark Dantonio has done in his nine seasons as Michigan State’s coach is that the Spartans are somehow viewed as a bit disappointing at 9-1.
Dantonio, who has sonar for all slights, picked up on the pervading view of his team after Michigan State suffered a 39-38 upset loss at Nebraska on Nov.7.
“I guess we’re pretty spoiled around here at this point,” Dantonio said three days after that defeat. “But that’s a good thing.”
For certain, it’s better than when Michigan State went 38-45 from 2000 to ’06 under Bobby Williams and John L.
