Late in the second quarter of Ohio State’s 2014 game against Michigan State, Michael Thomas caught a short slant pass from J.T. Barrett, broke a tackle and ran for a 79-yard touchdown.
That play ignited a Buckeye offensive blitz that buried the Spartans in East Lansing.
Late in the second quarter on Saturday, Barrett threw a similar pass to Thomas with the Buckeyes needing to establish momentum. Thomas dropped it.
