Sakiko Minagawa and her identical twin sister, Minori, are used to being together as best friends, roommates, training partners and Ohio State classmates pursuing degrees in exercise science.
So the juniors from Dublin Scioto will feel a sense of comfort running in the same 5,000-meter race on Friday at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic at OSU.
“We are competitive, but at the same time, we want the best for each other,” Sakiko said.
Still, their race on the first of the two-day meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is more than a fun night for a familiar run in front of family and friends.
