Ohio State practiced for the first time Friday morning and will do so 24 more times before the season opener against Oregon State on Sept. 1.

The Buckeyes will practice this Saturday and Sunday before a mandatory off day on Monday. Ohio State will return to the practice field on Tuesday and will be off just three days the rest of the month before taking on the Beavers.

The first day in pads for Ohio State will be Aug. 8, with the first day of classes starting Aug. 21.

Ohio State is currently practicing without head coach Urban Meyer, who was placed on paid administrative leave Wednesday following accusations he knew about former assistant coach Zach Smith's domestic violence allegations in 2015.
