The Buckeyes are no strangers to facing service academies, having gone against Navy in both 2009 and 2014 -- and in the process discovering the challenges and pitfalls of facing a triple-option team and the blocking practices they employ (particularly in a season opener).
Though OSU and Navy aren't set to meet again, having completed both legs of that home-and-home, Ohio State will reportedly take on the United States Military Academy on Sept. 16, 2017. It was reportedly previously the two sides were talking about potential future matchups.
The Buckeyes will open the season in conference play at Memorial Stadium two weeks earlier that year, with the Indiana Hoosiers hosting the Buckeyes.
