Allie Misler and Bill Stanley each won the javelin, and Ohio State added two more wins during the first day of the 31st Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic on Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Misler threw a season-best 151 feet, 7 inches in the women's competition, and Stanley's toss was 225 feet.
J.C. Murasky remained unbeated in the men's shot put with a throw of 64-1, and Evan Stifel won the men's 5,000 meters with a personal-best time of 14 minutes, 32.59 seconds.

Ohio State managed just four singles and lost at Purdue 3-0.
