Ohio State Softball Hires Two-Time MAC Coach of the Year Kirin Kumar As Its Next Head Coach

Ohio State softball has hired its next head coach.

On Tuesday, Ohio State announced that former Miami (Ohio) head coach Kirin Kumar will be the next leader of the Buckeyes. A two-time MAC Coach of the Year, Kumar will arrive in Columbus after four successful seasons in Oxford in which she led the Redhawks to a combined 174-56-1 record.

“We’re excited to welcome Kirin to the Buckeye family,” Ohio State executive associate athletic director Mike Penner said in a program press release.
