Ohio State's newest running back may need to wait a few weeks before making his debut
Ohio State freshman running back Mike Weber was already drawing rave reviews for his physical running style, and some thought he had a chance to contribute early, as a backup to Ezekiel Elliott. Those plans may need to be put on hold, at least of the immediate future. According to Eleven Warriors, Weber will miss the next 3-4 weeks with a torn meniscus. Per 11W, Weber will have surgery on Tuesday morning.
The Virginia Tech game is three weeks from today, so assuming that report has the correct timeline, Weber will probably miss the season opener, could potentially miss the Hawaii game as well, along with important fall camp snaps.
