COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As Ohio State faced a list of some of the best running backs in the nation last fall, with the Big Ten featuring the deepest running threats in the nation including Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon, Indiana's Tevin Coleman, Minnesota's David Cobb, Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah and Michigan State's Jeremy Langford, Urban Meyer made a point.
He liked his running back, too. Guy named Ezekiel Elliott. Might want to keep your eye on him.
From not making either first- or second-team All-Big Ten (Gordon, Coleman, Cobb and Abdullah took those spots) to averaging 232 yards per game during the Buckeyes' three-game postseason run, Elliott's sporting life continued on the upswing Sunday.
