The second novice eight of the Ohio State women’s rowing team edged Michigan by seven seconds on Sunday, allowing the Buckeyes to become the first team to win three straight Big Ten championships.
Ohio State won six of seven finals and finished with a championship-record 186 points at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. Michigan was second with 162 and Wisconsin (140) was third.
Holly Norton, Catherine Shields and Ashley Bauer of the Buckeyes’ first varsity eight were named to the all-Big Ten first team. Aina Cid Centelles and Sarah K. Davis of the first varsity eight were named to the second team.
