The Ohio State women’s golf team was unable to build on its second-round lead and ended up tying Northwestern for the Big Ten tournament title yesterday at The Fort Golf Resort in Indianapolis.
Because of tiebreaking procedures, OSU earned the Big Ten’s automatic spot in the NCAA tournament from May 25-27 in Bradenton, Fla.
The Buckeyes, who earned their second straight Big Ten tournament title and 13th overall, finished at 1-under-par 863.
Northwestern’s Sarah Cho shot a 1-under 71 to finish at 3-under 213 and earn medalist honors. Ohio State’s Katja Pogacar finished tied for second, a shot behind.
