Maximilien Chastanet won a national title in men's foil to help lead the Ohio State fencing team to a second-place finish Sunday in the NCAA championships in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Marc-Antoine Blais Belanger took second and Lewis Weiss third in epee for Ohio State, which totaled 167 points (men's and women's), seven behind champion Columbia.
Chastanet dominated the second period of the title match against Penn State's Nobuo Bravo to win 15-3. Ohio State's last men's foil champion was Zain Shaito in 2012.

Jacob Bosiokovic hit a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Ohio State a 5-4 victory over Northwestern in a Big Ten game at Bill Davis Stadium.
