While the Ohio State football staff is prepping for the mountainous Friday Night Lights in the coming week, the basketball staff stayed busy to garner some early interest from a 2018 prospect. On Monday, the Buckeyes' staff sent an offer out to Sydney, Australia, forward Giir Ring. The 6'8, 215-pound 2018 prospect is only a sophomore in high school, which is very early for recruitment. But that might just speak to the potential he shows, as evidenced by the sheer amount of offers from top programs he already holds.
In addition to Ohio State, Ring holds offers from Eastern New Mexico, Florida State, Kansas State, Texas, and Texas A&M, and Central Florida.
