Tommy Eichenberg became the first player to join the 2019 Ohio State recruiting class since Urban Meyer announced he will retire after the Rose Bowl. His commitment moves the class back into the top 10 in the 247Sports Composite.
Eichenberg is from Cleveland, Ohio and is listed at 6 ft. 3 and 225 pounds. He is ranked as the 19th best inside linebacker in the class and the No. 321 player overall.
Eichenberg is a welcome addition as he and Cade Stover are the only linebackers committed to the class. Athletes Steele Chambers and Craig Young could each end up playing linebacker but it’s difficult to predict just what position either will play at this point.
