Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow out after undergoing hand surgery

Related Topics: Hand surgery

Ohio State is down a quarterback before the 2017 season even kicks off. Sophomore QB Joe Burrow is out indefinitely after undergoing hand surgery on Tuesday. The young Buckeye broke a bone in his throwing hand on Monday during practice, but might be able to make it back to the field by midseason.

Burrow was in competition with Dwayne Haskins for the No. 2 spot on the roster, but this will solidify the job for Haskins. Both had performed really well during this year’s Spring Game and throughout training camp. Behind Haskins now will be incoming freshman Tate Martell.
