Following the commitment of four-star Michigan athlete Cameron Martinez earlier in the day, another out-of-state player caused some recruiting fireworks on the Fourth of July as 2020 Indiana center Josh Fryar pledged to play his college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes on Independence Day as well.
The 6-foot-5, 294 pound prospect is currently ranked as the second-best player in Indiana’s 2020 recruiting cycle, and the eighth best offensive guard in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. However, he is expected to come in as a center for the Buckeyes.
Co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson was Fryar’s primary recruiter, with his future position coach Greg Studrawa also in the mix.
