PHOENIX — Ohio State landed in the Valley of the Sun on Sunday, and almost right away coach Urban Meyer gave Notre Dame something to think about headed toward the Fiesta Bowl on Friday.
With J.T. Barrett having regained the starting quarterback job after seven games this season, Meyer was asked whether Cardale Jones — one of the stars of the postseason run to the 2014 national championship and starter in eight games this season — could play a role against the Fighting Irish.
“There could be,” Meyer said. “We’re still working through that.”
Jones was the first player to step out of the 747 charter jet that brought the Buckeyes west.
