Whether Torrance Gibson winds up playing quarterback or receiver at Ohio State remains to be seen, but he doesn’t think he was cut out to play the role of spectator.
That’s why the speedy blue-chip “athlete” from Plantation, Fla., recruited as a quarterback in the highly ranked OSU 2015 recruiting class, went to coach Urban Meyer last week and asked if he could take a shot at receiver. Gibson said on Sunday that he knows this could be another special season for the defending national champion Buckeyes, who are ranked No.1 in the coaches’ preseason poll.
