After the terrorist attack on Friday in Paris, Ohio State has stepped up security for the final home game of the season Saturday against Michigan State. That includes requiring that anything fans bring to the game must be in clear bags. No backpacks will be allowed.
That’s one of several upgrades to security procedures announced Monday by athletic director Gene Smith and police chief Craig Stone.
“We are always trying to make sure we have a safe environment,” Smith said. “We’ve talked about this in the past but haven’t gotten to a point of implementing it. We feel this is the time to do this.
