Torrance Gibson hasn’t caught a pass in a real game. Heck, he almost walked away from Ohio State last fall when his switch from star high school quarterback to understudy college receiver hit a rough patch.
Yet the rare times he is available to the media — such as during the annual “picture day” Sunday — he draws quick attention. That’s because at 6 feet 4, 215 pounds, with highlights that show his blend of speed and moves in high school and a few catches in the OSU spring game, his potential is obvious.

“I’m learning how to play fast,” Gibson said, though a slight hamstring pull kept him out of Saturday’s first scrimmage.
