COLUMBUS: Ohio State’s 48-3 win over Tulsa on Saturday might have come with an assist by Mother Nature.
It was an offense struggling to find itself in the first half — the Buckeyes had 158 yards offense, 89 yards rushing and three offensive points, which were set up by an interception in the red zone.
Ohio State answered in the second half after a 50-minute weather delay at halftime.
“There was a lot of time spent [at halftime],” Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer said. “We came out in unbalance and we came out in some other formations trying to create space opportunities for us and obviously it worked.
