J.T. Barrett orchestrated a late drive to tie things in regulation, but defense did it once again for the Buckeyes.
Trailing 10-7 at halftime with the only score coming on Malik Hooker’s interception return for a touchdown — his third of the season — Ohio State hung its hat on the unit without the ball most of the afternoon.
“We needed sparks,” Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer said. “But then our defense kept hanging in there, hanging in there, and they provided sparks.
