Ohio State men's tennis | Buckeyes enter Big Ten semifinals with just one set loss

The Ohio State men’s tennis team lost only one set in charging into the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament with a 4-0 win over Nebraska in Minneapolis.

The Buckeyes (28-2), the top seed in the tournament and ranked No. 4 nationally, face No. 24 Michigan at noon tomorrow.

Against Nebraska, OSU won the doubles point behind wins by the teams of Hugo di Feo and Matt Mendez and Ralf Steinbach and Herkko Pollanen.

In singles play, Chris Diaz gave Ohio State a 2-0 lead with a 6-1, 6-2 over Marc Herrmann. Martin Joyce then used a strong serve to defeat Tomislav Antoljak 6-2, 6-4 before Mikael Torpegaard beat fellow all-Big Ten player Dusty Boyer 7-6, 6-3 to clinch the win.
