The numbers show that JaQuan Lyle had an impressive freshman season for the Ohio State men’s basketball team. As last year’s starting point guard, Lyle had more assists than Evan Turner did
Turner did as a freshman, more points than William Buford did as a freshman and made more free throws than Jim Jackson did as a freshman.
And yet, it’s also true that Lyle could have been much better. Now preparing to lead the Buckeyes as a sophomore, Lyle’s offseason has been addressing what those around him agree has been his biggest hindrance: his mind.
More specifically, Lyle need to sharpen his ability to stay in the moment and not dwell on mistakes.
