Confidence and momentum were riding high after a gritty victory at Northwestern, but Ohio State was blasted back to reality at Indiana’s Assembly Hall. The biggest loss of the season bumped the Buckeyes from third to seventh in the Big Ten in points allowed per game and tied for the biggest conference loss during coach Thad Matta’s 12 seasons with the program. Is Ohio State as good as its seven-game winning streak indicated? Probably not, but it’s not as bad as the loss to the Hoosiers indicates, either.
