Deshaun Thomas knows a scorer when he sees one. As Ohio State’s ninth-most prolific scorer, Thomas never saw a shot he didn’t like during his three years in the program.
As he sat near midcourt while the Buckeyes prepared to play Mercer on Dec. 22, Thomas was asked which current player he thought was the next superstar in waiting. Without hesitation, Thomas offered up Kam Williams.
“He’s a great shooter, versatile out there, he can put it on the deck and he’s really athletic,” Thomas said. “People don’t expect that. They think he’s just a shooter, but he’s really athletic and he can get out there and defend.
