JaQuan Lyle often has had his skills mentioned in the same breath as D’Angelo Russell. Now their names are linked forever.
Lyle became the second freshman in Ohio State history to record a triple-double, following Russell’s lead by doing it in a 94-68 victory against Rutgers tonight in front of 11,635 fans in Value City Arena.
Last season, Russell had 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in a road win against the Scarlet Knights. Tonight, Lyle had a double-double at halftime and dished out seven second-half assists to hit the milestone with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
