Ohio State men's basketball | Grambling State offers little resistance

After playing the first of three games in six days, Ohio State coach Thad Matta told his players to prepare for an NBA-like grind to open the season.

Whether he knew to expect college’s equivalent of the winless Philadelphia 76ers -- or perhaps the Washington Generals -- tonight is hard to say. Grambling State, rated the worst team in Division I by KenPom.com, was overmatched from the opening tip as Ohio State cruised to an 82-55 victory in front of 10,779 in Value City Arena.

Sophomore Kam Williams led the way with 22 points, tying a career high, as all 10 scholarship Buckeyes to take the court scored at least two points.
