In Ohio State’s season-opener Sunday at Value City Arena against Mount St. Mary’s, the freshman had 11 points and six rebounds off the bench as one of five Buckeyes to score in double figures. After the 76-54 win, Giddens was asked how it had felt.
Leaning forward to inch his frame closer to the microphone, Giddens leveled with everyone in the room.
“I’m not going to lie: I was nervous,” he said in a deep baritone voice. “I’m still nervous. This is new to me.
