Chris Jent will interview to return to Ohio State and fill the void left by Jeff Boals on Thad Matta’s coaching staff, a source within the program confirmed to The Dispatch today.
Jent, 46, played for the Buckeyes from 1989-92, spent 10 years as a professional and then joined the coaching world in 2003 as an NBA assistant. He worked as an assistant for the Buckeyes from 2011-13 before leaving to work as an assistant for the Sacramento Kings. Jent was also a volunteer assistant at Ohio State for the 2005-06 season.

Most recently, Jent coached the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA’s Development League.
