The last time Ohio State suffered through such a difficult shooting season, Kam Williams was powerless to alter the outcome. It was during the 2013-14 season, and he dealt with a case of mononucleosis until the final weeks.
The result was a redshirt season for Williams, and a team three-point shooting percentage of 32.4 that is the lowest mark in coach Thad Matta’s 12 seasons with the Buckeyes.
Now two seasons removed, Williams is poised to take his place among the Big Ten’s elite shooters after a breakout sophomore season. But if the Buckeyes are to get back to the NCAA Tournament and make noise in the Big Ten, Williams is going to need some help.
