As a youngster, Keita Bates-Diop was taught by his parents to think of those less fortunate.
Now on his own as a college student, the Ohio State sophomore is doing so without the urging of mom and dad. Tonight, Bates-Diop is the representative for the men’s basketball team as the university takes part in the Soles4Souls shoe drive when the Buckeyes host Northwestern at 8 p.m.
“It’s about giving back,” Bates-Diop told The Dispatch. “We’re so privileged here, especially at Ohio State, so it’s just a chance to give back.”
