On good days, the Buckeyes have received game-carrying nights from some of their key players. For instance, Keita Bates-Diop, the team’s second-leading scorer at 11.6 points per game, has a season high of 24 points but has gone scoreless in two Big Ten games. More glaringly, freshman JaQuan Lyle has scored four points or fewer in eight of Ohio State’s 25 games this year but still averages 10.1 points per game.
It doesn’t seem to make sense on the surface, but as Matta said, neither does it follow that the economy in Greece or the sale of oil can affect his 401k.
