Abel Porter and Jimmy Sotos are officially Buckeyes.
On Saturday afternoon, Ohio State basketball coach Chris Holtmann announced the additions of the two transfer guards.
Both committed to the Buckeyes after a sudden rash of defections opened roster spots on the team. Porter has one year of eligibility remaining and can play this upcoming season, while Sotos also has one year of eligibility but will have to sit out this year.
“Abel has played an important role on a very good Utah State team," Holtmann said of Porter. "He has a toughness and unselfishness to his game which will be valuable to our team next year as a fifth-year senior.
