After two ACL tears, the talented linebacker is leaving Ohio State football.
After battling multiple serious injuries early in his career, Ohio State linebacker Kyle Berger is hanging up his cleats. After tearing his ACL multiple times, Berger is leaving the Ohio State football program and will medically retire, per Urban Meyer's National Signing Day press conference. It's unknown whether Berger will remain a student at Ohio State (he can, under scholarship, if he wants to), but he will no longer count against the football program's 85 man scholarship limit.
Berger was a celebrated recruit in the class of 2014, a four-star prospect from Ohio prep powerhouse Cleveland St.
