With as many as 11 players held out or limited during spring practice, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer stated multiple times it would be difficult to nail down a depth chart at the conclusion of the spring game.
But on Wednesday, Meyer announced one player who he felt had done enough to officially earn a starting spot for the Buckeyes next fall.
"Jamarco Jones got the nod," Meyer said. "He is the starting left tackle at Ohio State."
Meyer said he announced Jones was the starting tackle to the entire team earlier Wednesday.
"I announced that today to the team and they all clapped for him," Meyer said.
