As of today, Ohio State’s top ranked 2017 recruiting class features three prospects at the cornerback spot. The Buckeyes already have secured verbal pledges from Amir Riep, Shaun Wade, and Marcus Williamson but that hasn’t took them out of the mix for yet another top flight player at the position.
2017 cornerback Jamyest Williams (Loganville, GA / Grayson), the eighth best CB in the class, released his group of top schools on his Twitter account and, sure enough, Ohio State was one of the five that were included.
As you can see, the other schools that the Buckeyes will be battling for the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder include Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
