After a largely sub-par first period, the Buckeyes battled to get to 2-0 in Big Ten play as they came back to defeat Illinois 77-67.
Ohio State was led by Kaleb Wesson and Keyshawn Woods, who combined for 31 points while adding 11 rebounds. OSU got impressive production from their bench, as they finished with 40 of the team’s points.
The Illini got outstanding efforts from Trent Frazier and Kipper Nichols, who finished with 18 points apiece. In the end, it would not be enough as Ohio State outscored Illinois 43-29 in the second half.
