Ohio State had exactly six players selected in the NFL draft with just one defensive player drafted for the second year in a row.
Just like in 2022, Ohio State’s 2023 NFL draft class was dominated by offense, as five of the Buckeyes’ six selections came on that side of the ball. Those picks included three first-rounders – No. 2 overall pick C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans), No. 6 overall pick Paris Johnson Jr. (Arizona Cardinals) and No. 20 overall pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seattle Seahawks) – as well as offensive linemen Dawand Jones and Luke Wypler, who were both drafted by the Cleveland Browns on Day 3.
