Ohio State Guard Bruce Thornton Named Second-Team All-Big Ten by Coaches, Media

For the first time in three seasons, Ohio State has at least a second-team All-Big Ten performer.

On Tuesday, the conference announced that Buckeye guard Bruce Thornton is a second-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and media. Seldom-used forward Kalen Etzler was also recognized as Ohio State's pick for the Sportsmanship Award.

Thornton leads the Buckeyes in scoring this season with 17.5 points per game, adding a team-high 4.5 assists per contest. Those numbers rank eighth and seventh in the Big Ten. His 1.1 steals per game are tied with fellow guard Micah Parrish for the team lead.
